OUR SYSTEM - OUR AGENDA

What follows is the OUR SYSTEM AGENDA for a system in which we can all live fulfilling lives without harm to ourselves or others. Read this, then join OUR SYSTEM to support...

OUR SYSTEM AGENDA

A conscious acknowledgement of our common purpose as fulfilment without harm so we may organise ourselves, our justice systems, our economies, our organisations, and our societies to enable our pursuit of it. The organising principle of fulfilment without harm must override the pursuit of money and/or power. Specifically:

Legal
A legal system based in and protecting our fulfilment without harm:
  • Allowing for atonement and meditation to correct behaviour in safety
  • Always rejecting harm and protecting us from it

  • Economic
A shared base income enabling us all the opportunity to make our best contributions and share our ideas in free and open markets:
  • Free & open competition to contribute, not closed & unfair competition for advantage
  • Focus on fulfilment by contribution, not on control for secure financial return
  • Half of all income from trade shared in a shared base income received by all of us
  • Ideas shared and non-exclusive, never co-opted by organisations
  • Unlimited product through unlimited ideas, not limited product through exploitation
  • Fair prices reflecting true costs
  • Real value measured in fulfilment, not money

  • Financial
Money as the means to facilitate transactions in trade, not as an end, and speculative markets curtailed:
  • Financial derivatives allowing the right to use resources without possession removed
  • Shares transformed to loans with dividends/interest and no market for trading
  • Property ownership by occupancy only
  • Currency exchange reduced to sale for use not trading

  • Organisation
All organisations basing their specific purpose within the wider purpose of enabling our fulfilment without harm:
  • Our own responsibility, knowledge and control for our own work
  • Equal membership in all organisations
  • Information open and shared
  • Structured for co-ordination and communication
  • Organisers, not controllers
  • Open accounting for fair dealing, not maximising earnings
  • Equalised earnings
  • ‘Ownership’ by participation

  • Society
Equal respect and equal rights for all of us in tolerant and considerate societies.
  • Encouraged culture of confidence and care, rejecting fear and control
  • Equal respect for all of us, no differential respect
  • Greater self-governance
  • Universal, open education, outside of institutions
  • Universal, open healthcare, sharing information and enabling self-help
  • Responsible, not reckless use of our shared environment
  • Open and free media, not manipulated by vested interests
  • Free and open faith without exclusivity
  • Respect for ethnic identity and attachment to peoples and homes
  • Trust and security, not mistrust and conflict

  • This is the agenda that OUR SYSTEM has been set up to further. OUR SYSTEM is the means to communicate and organise direct action to change our system so that we can all live without harm. This can only happen with your participation. Please join.

The OUR SYSTEM agenda is based in The Common Purpose Manifesto (www.thecommonpurpose.com) which covers these in greater detail.
