A Security Bedrock

Imagine a nation that really takes care of its people. That actually gives every individual an absolute bedrock of security. This is what a shared base income could provide. It would make a massive difference.

Being Poor Doesn't Mean Being Unloved, But There Is Some Correlation

Lower socioeconomic does not mean unloved, in other words, being poor doesn't mean, necessarily, being brought up in an uncaring and abusive family (or though there is certainly some correlation). Because of this it is very difficult to quantitatively measure the quality of an upbringing, and then to ascertain what its effects may be.

Probably a security of income, even if it were not great, would eliminate the greatest amount of abusive care that can be put down to poverty. That would be a great step forward – I'm talking about a shared base income.
